The Easter Bunny From Hell

I saw him without those stupid little bunny ears the other day. He looked just like any other normal human being, except for that he's not. Oh sure he might look all innocent and sweet behind that pink fur coat, giving out sweets to all the children in the neighborhood, but he sure can't fool me. I know what little white lies are hidden behind those big googlie eyes of his. I know about the time he slept with my friends wife when he was out of town for the weekend. I know about the time he kidnapped those two disabled kids and made them clip his tonails all night long. I know about the time he slipped a micky in my drink at the benefit auction so that he could out-bid me for the first signed LP of the Beatles' Abbey Road. And you know what, I even forgave him for that. I forgave him for ever skeevy little thing that he had ever done, but this time he's crossed the line. This time I will never be able to forgive that bastard for what he's done! I truly think that he must be the devil. Yes... the devil indeed. He must rot in hell forever.

the shadow of a faceless man

it had been nearly two years since i first heard the name AND THEN IT WAS MERELY A FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION based on an old photograph stapled to a girls loving and fond memories of the way it was AND IN TIME IT EVENTUALLY WENT MISSING IN THE ROOM but never in my mind AND AS THE MONTHS PASSED the shadow became easier to see in the light NOT JUST VISIBLE IN THE DARK ANYMORE and the face that seemed so far away began to morph and tangle itself ALMOST LIKE AN APPARITION FLOATING IN SPACE TRYING TO GET A GOOD VIEW OF THE EARTH until the day the sun shone through the stained glass FILTERING THE LIES AND DUST FROM A DOUBTED REALITY and it was surreal and sad YET RELIEVING when i first saw the face of a shadowless man

If you're ever jaded about it, consider this:

There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.
-Nietzsche

Perhaps the feelings that we experience when we are in love represent a normal state. Being in love shows a person who he should be.
-Anton Chekhov

There is no remedy for love but to love more.
-Henry David Thoreau

Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come.
-Matt Groening
